So um yeah!
THIS KID IS crawling and has a tooth. :) It seems like the milestones have come and gone with the days. This season has been a busy one with the crazy new class, and my wife launching her online business, Little Mommas. It has been busy and tiring but the emotional pay off has been great. Lila is doing very well. She is a healthy 7.5 month-old and is doing well.

Haha... told you.

So if you don't know....I'm a school teacher. June around my house means one thing; NO MORE SCHOOL!!! I take this time to celebrate by drinking mojitos all day, and making my list of TTD, things to do. It's that list of pesky tasks you think about doing all the time but never have time to do. Well, I've been adding and taking away. (as I write, Alyce asks me to add 'clean the shower.') There is just so much to catch up on in six weeks. This isn't to mention setting up my classroom for next year.
Well, at least I know I won't be board this summer.






On a different note, Lila turned 4 months. She is now spitting out baby talk nonstop, and is drooling everywhere. Cuter than ever and getting pudgy. Al and I have noticed that she gets really fat when it seems she's hitting a growth spurt, then things out, or grows long ways. We have been pushing the bottle on her for the last week. We've figured that if we ever wanna get out on a hot date, we'd need to leave her with somebody else, which would require her to drink from a bottle. It was rough the first few days, but into Friday/ Saturday, she seemed to take it with less fuss. I think she's realized that even daddy can give her milk, even if it's not from a booby.
This is a pic of a little shoot mommy did the other day. I post so many smiley pics of her that I thought this one could be silly. hehe. I definitely plan on spending lots of time with mommy and this little monkey.

ALY JUNE DADDY blog!

For those of you who don't know. ALY JUNE is DEAD! The creativity will continue, but not in the form of a brand name. AlyJune has become my artist identity and was a venture that taught me a lot. SOMETHING more important has come!
I was reading an article on the Man of the House website, and this guy was talking about his blog. He talked about how he lost his journalism job and was blogging to keep sharp on his writing skills. Over time it was easy for him to go back and look at his archive to see how he had documented his son's growth. When I read that a lightbulb had gone on.
In the last few years I've seen blogging grow. It tends to be the easiest way to communicate up-to-date information with out having to write a whole lot, or take up the readers time. I've seen this really take off for bands, and clothing company's that market to the 'underground mainstream' group.
For me; I've decided to do this not for business, or for blowin hot air, not for others, but for myself. This is a place to talk about being a husband, my baby girl and my new responsibilities as a dad. We'll see how well this goes.

Summer in July

So summer has been flying by a bit to fast. My grass is growing fast and my hair even faster. After our trip to the Hawaiian Islands stuff has been bubbling up in our heads. It's 105+ degrees out here everyday, so I find a way to manage my time indoors. Thanks for the birthday wishes last week. It was freakin awesome.

LONG TIME! I FREAKIN KNOW!

Truth is..... well.? I don't have a solid internet connection. Since my wife and I have moved I have been able to get by with my work computer, my cell phone apps, and my neighbor's unblocked internet connection (sorry Jim). There for I have not blogged. Tons has happen in the last few months. Went to Survived an Earthquake, went to Kauai, Celebrated four years with Aly, and am now turning 26 years-old.... TODAY!!! ;) Anyways, I am writting to put my commitment into print. I WILL BLOG MORE!!!!! I LOVE YOU. ;) peace

YARD SALE!

It's amazing how much junk accumulates. If you are anything like me you keep stuff thinking you'll use it again, but it is put away only to collect dust. Well, not us! Not anymore! We got rid of some stuff and are now junk free.

Everytime I'm filling out some kind of paperwork or billing info for a company we do business with, I wonder, "Do they think my name is Aly, last name June?" Haha. I must have not sounded like an girl on the phone, but they have sure confused me as a 'Mr. June.' Silly I know. My evil plan to confuse peeps is working. Muaha, Muahahaa

ARG-YES! I suck at blogging

I have not been considerate of you followers, and I am sorry. I've been watching my wife update her blog and it's been convicting. I've concluded that I NEED TO blog more. So this is what I've been thinkin. I recently got a new computer and YES, it is an APPLE. It has worked wonders in my creating sessions. I've also been getting better at creating artwork. All in all, what I used to do in one hour, I do in 20 minutes.
I talked to Tara Baudry, one of my old students, on the phone today. She says, "Delly, I went to your website and noticed you had no new stuff. What is up? Are you still doing Aly June?" I respond to her and all of you: YES, stronger than ever. I have been learning to use my silk screen press. I've spent endless hours in the shop mastering the art. I'm not quite there, but I am past a start.
KIT. still looking for home at home. :) yEAH!

The Holidays

I hope you are all doin well with the holidays. I know I have. I am having a great time.
Getting settled here in El Centro has been a priority. The shop has also been under construction and is ready for operation. Spending this time with family has been awesome.

New Town, New Vision

So I've been slacking on the blog, and have totally defeated the purpose of keeping you all informed about what is happening with AJ. WE ARE MOVING!!!

So it is official. WE ARE MOVING! My wife Alyce and I have made this crazy choice. But we feel very confident in what is happening. My wife likes to call this move, "From OC to EC." Yup; El Centro, CA. This a town in the area where I was raised. This whole thing brings bitter sweet emotion. Bitter because we're leaving a lot behind, but stoked for the future. There are tons of opportunities for AJ to flourish. More importantly it is huge because it gives our family, Los Lopez, opportunity to grow.
As a young married gun, I've learned that it is hard to do stuff with family, blood or church. These groups really provide support for the things that happen.
Still searching for the right piece of equipment for the shop. I'll keep you all in the know!

It was my birthday last weekend and my wife came up with the best surprise dinner for us to have: English Muffin Pizzas!

Nice and cheesy as you can see.Had a good time making them. Super Easy. All you need are your favorite pizza toppings (pepperoni, pineapples, onions, bell peppers), pizza sauce, cheese, English muffins, and an oven set at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes.
